It would be fine to travel as long as you carry all your updated documents, you can apply for OPT extension as soon as you come back.
When traveling, please be sure to carry your most current I-20, EAD Card, passport and F1 Visa. You may also request a letter of support from your employer stating that you are currently employed and expected to resume employment upon your return to the U.S. This document is not a requirement, but you may find it helpful at the port-of-entry.
