[font=trebuchet ms,helvetica,sans-serif]Assignment : This position is responsible for maintaining and enhancing a proprietary application server and web browser resident applications implemented in C++ on UNIX and Windows.[/font]
[font=trebuchet ms,helvetica,sans-serif]Duties and Responsibilities: Analyze existing system components in order to develop a complete understanding of the architecture and flow of control.[/font]
[font=trebuchet ms,helvetica,sans-serif]Perform performance monitoring and tuning of the application. Identify and communicate system deficiencies to improve performance and scalability[/font]
[font=trebuchet ms,helvetica,sans-serif]Collaborate in the system design to perform required functions. Implement application code for new and modified components to meet business, operational, and performance requirements efficiently. Produce components that adhere to internal standards, are reliable, and easily maintained.[/font]
[font=trebuchet ms,helvetica,sans-serif]Develop unit test plans that will thoroughly exercise component logic to ensure adherence to requirements. Execute unit test plans, document test results, and resolve discrepancies as deemed appropriate.[/font]

[font=trebuchet ms,helvetica,sans-serif]Prepare for and participate in walkthroughs of design specifications, source code, and all technical and supporting documentation and provide meaningful feedback in accordance with departmental standards and guidelines.[/font]

[font=trebuchet ms,helvetica,sans-serif]Assist in production support activities, resolving production issues quickly and effectively.[/font]

[font=trebuchet ms,helvetica,sans-serif]Assist in the development and management of project plans. Analyze and classify change requests, identifying and documenting scope of change and impact on project.[/font]

[font=trebuchet ms,helvetica,sans-serif]BS/BA or equivalent experience.[/font]

[font=trebuchet ms,helvetica,sans-serif]4+ years of practical experience in the development and maintenance of multi threaded C++ application programs in UNIX environments.[/font]

[font=trebuchet ms,helvetica,sans-serif]4+ years of practical experience in the analysis and design of system applications.[/font]

[font=trebuchet ms,helvetica,sans-serif]Experience with analyzing and deconstructing complex software systems without the support of system documentation.[/font]

[font=trebuchet ms,helvetica,sans-serif]Experience with JAVA and J2EE technologies is a big plus.[/font]

[font=trebuchet ms,helvetica,sans-serif]Experience with Oracle databases is a must.[/font]

[font=trebuchet ms,helvetica,sans-serif]Experience with Perl programming is highly desirable.[/font]
