Honda Accord.

Some buying tips.

1. Never get temped by the dealer/sales person when you walk into the dealership.
2. Never make an offer before you calculate your monthly payments ( if you prefer to get a loan).
3. Never Calculate/ offer based on monthly payments on any vehicle.
4. First negotiate the vehicle price, Generally the markup on (new vehicles) Honda Accord is 7%. In USA, on all vehicles they have Invoice and max retail price.
5. Make Invoice price as your base price and add some markup or profit plus interest to that and give an offer to the dealer.
6. Some times the dealer goes below down the invoice price and willing to sell you below the invoice price. Why? The dealer gets some holdbacks and incentives from the Honda auto and agrees to pass them on to customer. (No harm in asking)
7. As soon as you think its right vehicle and time to negotiate, Never ever sign any kind of document ( specially with the used car dealers) unless you think/feel you got a good deal. As soon as you give an offer they tempt you to sign the offer, they say its just formality. But dont sign.
8. If you are buying an used car, Test drive it, get an car fax report, take it to your mechanic, have it checked and them make an offer. If you find some problems with the vehicle you are purchasing ( cosmetic, tyres, cleaning, oil change etc) ask the used car dealer to fix and get them fixed before you take home. Ask them to mention it in your offer letter in writing they would fix them.
