Trs Accuses Bjp Of Igniting Caste & Religious Clashes

Hyderabad, May 7: Telangana Rashtra Samithi politburo member Shravan here on Monday charged the Bharatiya Janata Party with trying to ignite caste and religious clashes among people of the Telangana region.

Addressing media persons in the Telangana Bhavan, here, Shravan said that the BJP was not sincere on the Telangana issue. He said that while the movement for separate State was being conducted on apolitical lines, the BJP has been trying to foment trouble by igniting caste and religious feuds in the region.

Alleging that the BJP had forged a secret agreement with YSR Congress party chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, Shravan said that the saffron party was trying to field its candidate in Parakala by-election as part of that agreement. He also questioned the BJP as to why it remained silent on corrupt practices and ill-gotten wealth amassed by Jagan Mohan Reddy when it proclaimed that it would spearhead crusade against corruption at the national level.
