Even as the controversy over Vijayawada Telugu Desam Party urban unit president Vallabhaneni Vamsi hugging YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy is yet to subside, the TDP in Krishna district received yet another jolt on Thursday.
Devineni Chandrasekhar, brother of TDP Krishna district unit president and Mylavaram MLA Devineni Umamaheshwar Rao, announced that he would be joining YSR Congress party on May 24 or 25 when Jagan addresses an election rally at Prathipadu. He said the people had lost faith in the TDP and were looking towards Jagan as their saviour.
“I have nothing do with my brother. I will take my own political line,” Chandrasekhar said.
It is a real shock to TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu, as he was targeting only Vamsi, but he has never expected that the brother of his own loyalist Devineni would revolt. All said and done, Chandrasekhar had been playing instrumental role in the TDP in the district and his exit would definitely a setback for the party before the by-elections.[/left][/size][/font][/color]
