Adilabad MP Ramesh Rathod (TDP) on Friday justified the freezing of bank accounts of firms managing [i]Sakshi [/i]newspaper and news channel and the suspension of issue of government advertisements to it. He said that the organisation merited the action as it was being run with illegal capital.[/font][/color][color=#3B3A39][font=Georgia,]
Addressing a press conference here, Mr. Rathod said that YSR Congress party president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy had amassed wealth illegally during his father Rajasekhara Reddy's rule. The corrupt practice needs to be exposed, he added.[/font][/color][color=#3B3A39][font=Georgia,]
The MP also criticised the government for failing to release compensation to farmers who lost crop due to last year's drought. He said that the delay in release of compensation had driven farmers towards committing suicide, he observed.[/font][/color][color=#3B3A39][font=Georgia,]
On the 18 by-elections being held across three regions in the State, Mr. Rathod predicted a win of TDP candidates. He said that people were vexed with misgovernance of the Congress party.[/font][/color][color=#3B3A39][font=Georgia,]
The MP also predicted the re-emergence of TDP as the ruling party in the next general elections. He said that TDP would replace Congress in the 2014 elections.[/font][/color]
