Rupee Closes At All-Time Low Of 54.49 To The Dollar

[color=#000000][font=Georgia,]The local currency had slumped to an all-time low of 54.46 against the dollar in afternoon trade even as the Reserve Bank of India broke its silence over the falling rupee, saying it would do its "best possible to curb volatility".[/font][/color]

[color=#000000][font=Georgia,]Addressing Parliament on the rupee’s decline, finance minister Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday said the decline in the currency was influenced by the crisis in the euro zone, and Greece in particular.[/font][/color]
