2 Term limit for a Public Office AND 2 Year limit for Party Positions https://www.change.org/petitions/2-term-limit-for-a-public-office-and-2-year-limit-for-party-positions?share_id=NveGzWSaQW&utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=twitter via @change

Leadership needs to raise from all sections of society and not few families only. The political parties and parliament has become personal fiefdoms of few families and running like a company rather than a political platform.

If you visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_National_Congress, you will witness that Indian National Congress had over 50 Party presidents in its first 55 years of history. After that in 73 years we had less than 10. What a shame?

BJP is currently trying to extend Nitin Gadkari for another 2 year period - changing the constitution of party.

TDP started by NTR had only 2 party presidents in last 30 years - starting with regional card of Telugu pride is widely considered casteist. Its president Chandra Babu Naidu is widely respected for development has been losing confidence from public.

Samajwadi, DMK, AIADMK, Janata Dal Secular, Laloo's party, LJP, BSP, JKNC, Nationalist Congress Party, INLD, YSRCP etc etc have all passed in to the hands of family fiefdoms.

Regarding our parliament:

- A shocking 100% of Indian MPs under the age of 30 are hereditary

- Two-thirds of Indian MPs under the age of 40 are from political families

- Less than 10% of MPs over the age of 70 are hereditary
- 27 MPs are classified as ‘hyperhereditary’, and 19 of them are in the Congress party. By hyperhereditary, we mean that they have multiple family connections, and several family members who have made a career out of politics.

Are there any parties being founded on basis of a philosophy? Are any leaders raising from such platforms?

Who did we win freedom from? India not only won the freedom from British - but more so from family run feudals like Nizams, nawabs, Rajputs, Raja's, Deshmukh, Zamindars and Jagirdhars - Now we are only replacing them with Ghandhis, pawars, gowdas, yadavs, reddys, marans, gowda's and naidoo's.

Democracy is not a philosophy of do whatever you want, its a way to elect and select leadership from all corners and people with right minds.

People of India need to destroy the transfer of power to these family franchises.

Regulate Power and powerful, so they dont become bigger than the nation, the community and the society. We need to elect and select people who can contibute and ask them to leave respectfully.

My idea is Limit 2 term for public post (8 years max) and 2 year limit for party post from top to bottom.

They can grow to a higher position but not remain in the same job. Also - we cannot give ticket to person from same family for next 2 terms. And a person cannot get back to the same position.

Please understand that an ex MLA, ex MP, ex CM and ex PM yield a lot of influence even when they are not in power. They can still contribute if they want to, only thing they cannot is be in bed with business people and ask for bribes.

Second if a person cant accomplish things in 8 years - they can never do things except for doing dirty politics using religion, region and caste cards. Lets get rid of these dirty leaders and start a path for better leadership from all corners. Lets see some great people as our leaders who have some genuine priorities and solutions rather than fake speeches.

This is a game of hearts and minds - unless the people get together, the people in power will not be willing to give up there power.

Motto: Don't regulate people, Regulate people in power. lets reform the election commission.
