15 Dead In Andhra Train Accident

[color=#3F3F3F][font=georgia][size=4][left][b]Hyderabad:[/b] At least 15 people died early Tuesday in Andhra Pradesh's Anantapur district when a passenger train collided with a stationary goods train.[/left][/size][/font][/color]
[color=#3F3F3F][font=georgia][size=4][left]The accident took place around 3.00 a.m. when the Hubli-Bangalore Hampi Express hit the stationary goods train at Penukonda railway station, about 400 km from here.[/left][/size][/font][/color]
[color=#3F3F3F][font=georgia][size=4][left]More than 30 others were injured.[/left][/size][/font][/color]
[color=#3F3F3F][font=georgia][size=4][left]A signalling error appears to have led to the mishap, a railway official said.[/left][/size][/font][/color]
[color=#3F3F3F][font=georgia][size=4][left]Such was the impact of the collision that four bogies derailed and one of them even caught fire. Local police, fire-fighting and railway personnel rushed to the spot and began rescue and relief operations.[/left][/size][/font][/color]
[color=#3F3F3F][font=georgia][size=4][left]Anantapur district collector Durga Das and other senior officials are supervising the rescue and relief operations. The collector said the injured were shifted to nearby hospitals.[/left][/size][/font][/color]
