But CBI Court has rejected anticipatory bail request. Jagan will be comming to Hyderabad tonight to attend court on Friday(May 25). [/font]

[font="arial, helvetica, sans-serif"]Lawyers of the Kadapa MP have filed the petition in the CBI special court here. Jagan has explained that as the party chief he has a duty to campaign for his party candidates in the ensuing by-elections scheduled for June 12. Jagan’s lawyers have assured the court that he would cooperate with the CBI in its investigation and would surely appear before the agency soon after the elections were over.[/font]

[font="arial, helvetica, sans-serif"]When questioned about the petition, party official spokesperson Ambati Rambabu has said he was not aware of the petition. Still he said there was nothing wrong if he had applied for anticipatory bail. On the opposition criticism that Jagan has applied for bail as he was afraid of arrest, Rambabu has said that no one in the party, much less Jagan was afraid of arrests. He said if they were afraid of arrests, they would not have come this far. He said they knew about all the problems they had in store even when they came out of Congress and launched the YSRC. He has argued that as per law Jagan had a right to apply for anticipatory bail and he was well within his rights to apply for it.[/font]
