“Its nothing but extortion…” was the common reaction to the petrol hike effected on Wednesday night. While some motorists jostled with each other to fill their vehicles' tanks at a lower price the previous night, it was gloom written all over the faces of some of them who stopped at the bunks to have a refill.[/font][/color][color=#3B3A39][font=Georgia,]
“We were adjusting our budgets to accommodate the frequent price hikes, but a sudden jump of Rs. 8.36 increase is unbearable,” an irate motorist said. Whatever may be the reason for the price hike, the common man is forced to bear the brunt of such decisions, he argued.[/font][/color]
