[color=#282828][font=arial, sans-serif][size=3]Step 4: Submitted my DS-160, Passport and I-797 at counter 1. Waited there for around 15 mins until my number showed on screen. After that my number was showed on screen, took PP, DS-160 and I-797 from counter 1 and went to 20th floor where the actual interview was. [/size][/font][/color]

[color=#282828][font=arial, sans-serif][size=3]Step 5: Waited there for around 15-20 mins. I was sitting right across the Visa Officer who interviewed me. Then my number came and my interview was like this.[/size][/font][/color]

My Visa Experience @ Montreal

Appointment @8am
went to the location by 7:25 ...
two people were there in front of me.. waited for 5mins..
security guard came and opened the door and told that they wont allow backpacks and cellphones nothing only documents
so walked to the car to drop my backpack in there and went back @ 7:45am
one lady asked for my passport and appointment letter at the door
she checked all the appointments of that day and pulled one sticker which has some ref num and my name and sticked it to back of my pp
then went for security check... after clearing the security.. he asked me to wait in the down stairs until some one calls us
so followed his instructions and there are already about 15-20 people waiting there
one lady came and asked us to go to 19th floor..
19th floor--- after getting out of elevator all formed a line.. so one lady checking all applicants passport and ds-160 and appointments papers and kept them in an order
then moved to another line.. there were 4 windows open and
my turn came - i gave my ds160, PP, appointment page to officer (lady)
VO: she was checking something and asked my status in Canada (Visitor) and when I came here(Yesterday)
Me: Visitor and I came here yesterday
VO: gave a smile - you are just in time...
VO: asked for my I-797, resume and Employer letter
Me: handed them to her - she checked something and rounded off Y under PIMS section
VO: she kept all the docs together and asked me to go to Counter 6 for finger prints
ME: said thank you
gave my finger prints and sat in the waiting area for interview

Now there were 14 people in front of me
They are sending three people at a time into a room where they have two open counters
Counter -1 visa officer African American lady
Counter -2 Visa Officer American Guy
After sometime they asked three people to stand in line at counter 1 (im the last one)
When im in line VO interviewing a lady (she brought her nephew or someone as a translator)
VO rejected her petition for some reason
Then she approved Visa for two other persons in front of me
My turn came:
Me: Good Morning
VO: Good Morning, How are you
Me: Good, how are you. Handed over my PP,I797 resume DS160 and some other paper which was given to me at the previous counter
VO: she looked into her system and asked me if I did my masters in US
ME: Yes
VO: which university
ME: Abcd University
VO: what do you think of it
ME: good.. blah blah blah
VO: what is your status in Canada
ME: Visitor
VO: when did u enter Canada
ME: yesterday
VO: when did u enter Canada
ME: yesterday 11/01/2012
VO: what is the purpose of visit
ME: im visiting my friend here and also want to get this stamping done
VO: how long are you planning to stay here
ME: one week
VO: so u applied for H1B visa
Me: yes
VO: what do you do
ME: I work pqrst company as software engineer
VO: when are you working from
ME: MM/DD/YYYY with this company
VO: did u work on OPT
ME: yes
VO: where is your company located
ME: city, state
VO: do you have your family in USA
ME: yes my bro
VO: ok, ur visa is approved…look out for an email from loomis about ur pp
