Position : Lead Java Developer/Technical Lead
Location : San Francisco, CA
Duration : 6+ month's renewable contract
Rate: Negotiable
Responsibilities include:
Design and develop technical solutions working with various stakeholders such as business product managers, architects/technical leads, front-end (mobile, tablet apps etc.) and back-end development teams (browse, checkout and other WCS based .com functionality)
Participate in project requirements discussions to understand the requirements, assess feasibility and estimate
Ensure technical quality of the API team deliverables through establishing best practices, developing reference code or utilities, design and code reviews etc.
Work closely with the API Manager to plan and coordinate the work performed by the team and be the point of contact for team at onsite to provide updates, issue resolution etc.

Desired Skills & Experience:
Experience in working in projects involving offshore/onsite teams preferably in a role where coordination with offshore team was performed
Minimum of 6 years of experience in software development and 3+ years of experience in a Java-based Architect/designer or Technical lead role
Strong experience in architecture/design, development and maintenance of the complex n-tier web applications using J2EE technologies
Experience with JBoss, WebSphere Commerce Server (preferred but not required)
Strong knowledge of the object oriented programming and design patterns
Proficient in server side technologies such as Servlets, JSP, Web/RESTful Services, XML, XSLT, JSON, JDBC/Hibernate
Good knowledge of database such as: DB2, Oracle 9i/10g, My Sql
Experience in working in a complex and dynamic environment involving multiple projects, teams and stakeholders
Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
