Position Title SQL Server BI Developer

Location Tarrytown, NY

Expected Start Date ASAP

Duration 6+ Months

Bill Rate(PH) / Salary Range (PA) 55.00

Required Skills Description:
Primary responsibilities in this role will require expert knowledge of SQL.

Primary responsibilities include writing complex stored procedures, reports, triggers, ad-hoc queries and working with development team members.

Will also be required to troubleshoot and optimize the performance of the database and stored procedures.

Must be detail oriented to succeed in this role.

Requirements:

1. Writing complex stored procedures and ad-hoc queries (utilizing, for example: cursors, loops, inner joins, left joins, temp tables, user defined functions, views, indexes, denormalization, etc.)
2. Creating reports using Microsoft*s SQL Reporting Services
3. Performing adhoc troubleshooting and data correction for end users
4. Designing new database tables
5. Creating indexes/foreign keys/etc.
6. Making database diagrams
7. Analyzing requirements and engaging in discussions and brainstorming with technical and non-technical staff
8. Refactoring/troubleshooting existing stored procedures as needed

Required:
1. Minimum of 3 years’ experience writing complex T-SQL queries (working with complex joins, temp tables, string manipulation, data reconciliation, query tuning, etc.)
2. Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.

3. Fast learner and excellent documentation habits.
4. Minimum 3 years experience with SQL Server 2008 R2.
5. Database performance analysis and tuning.



Preferred:
1. Experience with SSRS preferred.
2. Knowledge of the E-Commerce industry is preferred
3. Bachelor’s degree with a technology focus is preferred.

Education and Typical Years Experience:

Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other technical related field.

Must have at least 3 years prior hands-on experience developing SQL Server 2008 R2 based applications using industry standards.
