Our Client requires a BI Cognos Developer who will be responsible for providing technical expertise in design, development and implementation of Cognos solutions. This Candidate should demonstrate an expert knowledge of BI and the Cognos Suite of tools including Framework Manager, Report Studio, Query Studio, Cognos Mobile, Office and SPSS/Statistics packages, and have the ability to solve complex reporting problems. During this engagement Candidates will be expected to create, tune and test complex report against OLAP/OLTP data sets, create and maintain reports using 10.x using Suite of tools, develop and maintain Framework models and packages, create report specs from business requirements, participate in requirement meetings with end-users to understand and collect BI reporting requirements, validate the accuracy of reports, including variance from prior data, develop Test Cases and possess strong knowledge of Pharma industry, a plus. The Candidates qualifications should include 3-5+ year of developing complex solution using IBM Cognos 10.x Suite (Framework Manager, Report Studio, Analysis Studio, Query Studio) in both an OLTP/OLAP environment,3- 5+ years of experience in data warehousing and business intelligence with emphasis on Application Design, development, testing, implementation, troubleshooting and performance tuning, 3-5+ years of experience using SQL Server 8/T-SQL or Oracle 11i/PL-SQL, at least 5 years of experience creating both relational and dimensional model, creating and deploying packages using Framework Manager, experience create complex dashboard using the Cognos Suite, experience translating user requirements into Framework Manager Models, reports, and dashboards. Candidates must have excellent oral and written communication, experience developing active reports Cognos 10, Cognos Mobile BI, Go Office and SPSS/Statistics Tools a plus!
