Key qualifiers:
4 to 5 years of experience as a Software Quality Assurance hands on experience in applying testing methodologies, create test plans & manually execute test cases; perform system testing, bug tracking and report generation for software features & enhancements .
Layer 2: Hands-on experience with L2 Switching protocols like VLAN, STP, MSTP, RSTP, LACP, trunking, Portchannels.
Layer 3: OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, ISIS, MPLS, QOS, Traffic engineering, Policy Based routing, PIM,Gateway routing protocol, VRRP, DVMRP
Languages: TCL, iTCL, Perl, C , C++
Traffic tools: IXIA, Spirent, Smartbits, Agilent Router Tester, QA Robot, Cisco PagentTest Harness: Cisco ATS, ATS Easy, eARMS

Good communication skills in English (both verbal and written) and ability to interact effectively with different test, development and support groups.
Candidate must be able to multi-task and work independently with minimal managerial oversight.
