[b]Description: [/b]Our Client, a healthcare institution is looking for a MySQL DBA in Miami Gardens, FL



[b]Responsibilities:[/b][list]
[*]Implementation and configuration of MySQL databases;
[*]Implement HA solutions and define backup/recovery strategy;
[*]Define technical infrastructure environment using MySQL;
[*]Support problem resolution; consult and advise in application design and tuning; plan, organize, and execute product benchmarks for threshold and functionality;
[*]Provide data administration support of the development and maintenance of production and non-production database environments for distributed applications;
[*]Participate in product evaluation, design review sessions, data requirements meetings. and consulting with application developers;
[*]Performance monitoring and tuning of production databases; Project management for database upgrades, installations, and schema changes.

[b]Requirements:[/b][list]
[*]Experience working as a MySQL DBA (5+ years);
[*]Experience with MySQL database design, implementation, performance tuning, and capacity planning;
[*]Experience setting up MySQL clusters, MySQL replication, MySQL backup, point in time recovery, and high available configurations in a complex and dynamic production environment;
[*]Experience with Open Source/Linux development and production environments (preferred);
[*]Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or Information Technology.
