In the past one-and-half year, Crime Rate in Andhra Pradesh has increased drastically and the most worrying fact is that over 85 percent of the criminals arrested during this period were youngsters and newcomers.

The statistics revealed by National Crime Bureau points out 2,11,256 criminals arrested in 2012 were freshers and most of these crimes happened in Urban areas. Majority of the accused have confessed during the interrogation that they indulged in economic offenses to earn easy money for a lavish living.

Cyberabad additional DCP (Crime) Janaki Sharmila stated Mahesh Babu's gangster flick 'Businessman' which was released last year has inspired youngsters to turn criminals in the state. "Many of the accused have told us they were influenced by films and media reports. Crime Rate has increased post the release of Mahesh's 'Businessman'," mentioned the top cop.

While the filmmakers claim they were inspired by the real-life incidents, the cops in return point fingers at the film personalities for glorifying offenders in the movies for the sake of Box Office collections. No doubt, filmmakers should have social responsibility and must be cautious as every frame they capture will be watched by millions of eyes.[/font][/color]
