shishkebab Posted January 23, 2014 Report Share Posted January 23, 2014 u cannot say the two center mids in this formation always play definsive....ya i agree that they do have defensive roles but thats wat mata was trying to prove to mourihno that he can add value as definsive mid aswell...........that said It could well be tweaked to 4-2-2-2 formation where rvp and rooney play forward followed by kagawa and mata.......backed up by carrick and fletcher.........and then the four defensive players apparently he has to play behind rooney and rvp but mata flourished at chelsea because last season rafa played a 4-2-3-1 in a fluid passing style oscar-mata-hazard , with ramires and lampard/mikel in the double pivot city kuda 4-4-2 adatharu, but they have fernadinho as anchor man this season, which gives yaya toure more freedom to go forward fellaini a big dissapointement united ki Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
