Director Thigmanshu Dhulia has been associated with some meaningful films like Paan Singh Tomar and Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster series in the past. He has now changed track and is back with an commercial entertainer in Bullet Raja. Starring Saif Ali Khan, Jimmy Shergill and Sonakhsi Sinha in lead roles, Bullet Raja has hit the screens today. Let’s see how it is.

Story:-

Bullet Raja is set in the backdrop of the political scenario in Uttar Pradesh. Raja Mishra(Saif Ali Khan) is an innocent Brahmin boy who is dragged into the dirty politics because of an incident involving his family. Left with no choice, Raja Misra takes the wrong route and soon becomes an evil gangster.

He along with his close aide Rudra(jimmy Shergill) become a dreaded force in Uttar Pradesh, and are backed by an powerful politician in Ram Pandit(Raj Babbar).

As the political game starts getting worsen, things take a violent u-turn and Rudra is killed according to a plan. Rest of the story is as to how Raj Misra lets loose and finishes all those who killed Rudra and comes out victorious.

Verdict:-

On the whole, Bullet Raja is Saif’s most commercial film till date. His looks, character and thrills showcased are basic plus points. On the flip side, a regular story and an even predictable story line makes this film just below average.
