“Yevadu”, which released on 12 January, received positive feedback from critics as well as the audience. The film took a grand opening on the first day of its release, with most shows filled with packed houses.

Though “Yevadu” is termed as a typical revenge drama, the twists and the commercial elements in the film seem to have attracted the audience.

The Ram Charan starrer, which released in 720 screens in Andhra Pradesh, has reportedly earned 8.65 crore (share) on the first day at the AP box office. It is the biggest opener for Ram Charan.

“Yevadu” has taken the fourth spot in the list of films with the highest day 1 openings (AP share). Pawan Kalyan’s “Attarintiki Daredi (10.75 crore), and Jr. NTR’s “Baadshah” (9.25 crore) and “Ramayya Vastavayya” (8.7 crore) are the three films ahead of “Yevadu.”

The action-packed entertainer has surpassed Mahesh Babu’s “1 Nenokkadine” first day collections. “1 Nenokkadine”, which opened to negative reviews, had raked in 8.40 crore share in AP.

“Yevadu” has opened well on the second day (13 January) as well, with morning shows reporting housefuls in big centres. The film is expected to have a strong second day in Andhra Pradesh.
