Healthy Indian Recipe: Raw Papaya Kebabs Recipe

It may not be your favorite fruit, but papaya is loaded with nutrients, vitamins and minerals. It can fight high cholesterol levels, constipation, aids in weight loss and is great for attaining a clear, beautiful complexion. So, try this healthy raw papaya kebab recipe and reap the health benefits of this miracle fruit.

Ingredients:

  • Raw papaya (thick grated) – 2 cups
  • Raw potato (thick grated) – 1cup
  • Salt – 1 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric – ½ tbsp
  • Jeera – ½ tbsp
  • Coriander cracked – 2 tbsp
  • Ginger chopped – 2 tbsp
  • Besan – ½ cup
  • Eggs – 1 no
  • Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
  • Green coriander chopped – 2 tbsp
  • Canola oil – 2 tbsp

Instructions:

  1. Apply salt to the raw papaya and raw potato and set it aside for 5 minutes. Gently press them to release the excess water and dab them on a paper towel.
  2. Now in a large bowl mix all the ingredients except the oil.
  3. Add the raw papaya and potato. Mix well and make rough thin patties. Heat a pan and add the canola oil. When hot, slide the patties into the pan and cook well on both sides.
  4. Serve hot with a lemon wedge.
