The ideal candidate will be an experienced and forward-thinking member of the web development community with 5+ years of experience using Microsoft Technologies. We seek an innovator with expertise in a .NET based environment  (C#, ASP.NET, WCF, SQL Server). The Staff Developer will report directly to the CTO and will be responsible for the development and delivery of FS software implementations and custom web applications from concept to completion.

 

About Financial Soundings: FS is an innovative investment and financial planning technology company focused on delivering cutting edge communication solutions to drive employee preparedness for retirement through more effective retirement plan advisor and employer capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the design, development, and at times testing, of web applications using Microsoft Technologies
• Maintenance of existing web applications
• Develop software in accordance with agreed upon schedules and established best practices
• Provide remediation for existing system issues
• Produce effective technical documentation

Requirements:

• Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis and live (or be willing to re-locate) in the Atlanta area
• 3-5 years application development experience using Microsoft .NET Technologies
• In depth knowledge of:

• SDLC in a product development environment
• .NET 3.5 – 4.5 Framework C#    
• Microsoft Visual Studio / Debugging Techniques
• TFS
• Relational Database skills: SQL Server, Stored Procedures
• Practical experience in any ORM technologies for .NET
• IIS / Hosting Environments
• WCF, SOA, REST API
• HTML, XML, JavaScript/jQuery, CSS, AJAX
• SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)

Skills & Characteristics:

• Excellent communication skills – both written and oral
• Excellent interpersonal skills, organizational expertise , and attention to detail
• Ability to learn new concepts, systems, and software independently and quickly
• Experience in the financial services sector preferred
• Self-starter, able to work as part of a small team as well as independently, with minimal supervision
• High energy, positive attitude, professional and mature
• Detail-oriented, able to prioritize work and effectively manage multiple tasks
• Ability to accurately estimate and meet development deadlines
