Position Summary:
Our Information Technology and Operations Practice creates solutions that coverthe entire lifecycle of information utilization, from ideation throughimplementation. The Software Engineer, Java will create user informationsolutions by developing, implementing and maintaining Java based components andinterfaces. 

This is a mid-level role that requires solid understandingof core Java and of UI concepts. The desired candidate will be expected towork the complete stack, including front-end, back-end, web services anddatabase layers with greater emphasis on the back-end. This is a greatopportunity for candidates interested in going to the next level in theircareer by taking initiative and ownership, driving solutions and that areeager to learn new technologies.

• Define site objectives by analyzing user requirements

• Integrate applications by designing database architecture and server scripting

Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems Management or equivalent experience; Master’s level degree preferred
• Strong knowledge of core Java (jdk 1.5/1.6/1.7)
• 3 years’ of overall software experience
• Hands-on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms
• Understanding of concepts and fundamentals of Java and computer science, including multi-threading and memory management and web services
• Working knowledge and experience with front-end development (JavaScript, AJAX frameworks, CSS, HTML)
• Relational database experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL, ORM technologies, JPA2, Hibernate)
• Knowledge of Object Oriented analysis and experience with design and developing applications using Java EE platform
