The Sat-Chit-Anand Water Show was inaugurated with a unique multi-media water extravaganza at Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar-Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha's Akshardham in Gandhinagar by HDH Pramukh Swami Maharaj in the presence of Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi and leading nuclear scientist Dr R Chidambaram and prominent scientists, educationists, litterateurs and dignitaries from all walks of life. Water shows are found in five countries US (Disneyland), France, Japan and Singapore. India's is the first to showcase the spiritual aspect. The show revealed the mysteries of life and death through the gripping tale of Nachiketa, the child hero of the Kathopanishad. This water show is one of a kind in this medium and carries a touching message and is the longest in duration. Some features of this scintillating show are: fire in the water, body, formation of fireballs, scenes of various hues on the fountain waters and formation of a galaxy of stars on land. The live characters in this show breathtakingly merged with the sights and sounds during the laser presentation. The fusion of music, narration and projection with state-of-the-art technology are breathtaking and inspiring. Technologies of various countries were effectively used to produce this show inspired by His Divine Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj. The water show at BAPS was directed by world renowned creative director Yves Pepin who was the creative director for the inaugural and closing ceremonies of the Beijing Olympics in 2008.
