Yes,you need to show proofs that you stayed in Canada for 700+ days in 5 years period to renew the PR.There are no short cuts !

You have to submit records form CBSA which shows your entry and exits records to Canada

Also need to provide proof of Residence (like lease papers,employment records,Health Card ,Bank Statements etc)
