Being an "intern" is not being "hired" - there is a difference.  Internships are usually part of an education or training program.  I understood the OP to mean that the internship occurred as part of the program (before graduation).  If it did actually take place after graduation, I would recommend calling CIC to clarify eligibility.

The only difference for the OP is the date that the OP becomes eligible.  If the experience was post-graduation, then it *may* count (still recommend calling CIC), and the OP could meet the eligibility requirements 2 months earlier than if it does not.
