Overview: Our current Salesforce project involves a narrow set of tasks within the scope of a fairly large Salesforce product that integrates with other, non-Salesforce systems. As such, even though the project scope is small, the developer will need to be able to work within a large and complex Salesforce environment.

The product has the following functionality:

·        It allows users to source all products from the site

·        Provides two categories of sites:

o   Auto-generated shopping sites that are 1^st pulled from a Java DB2 system into Salesforce, then, once the user presses a button, deploys the shopping sites to Heroku.

o   A fundraising site that is generated and customized based on details of an established relationship between a Sales Office and a Customer.

 

Some stats to give a sense of the size of the Salesforce product:

·        263 custom Salesforce Objects

·        847 total Apex Classes; 329 of which are test Classes

·        114 Triggers

·        254 Visual Force pages

Some of the tasks/hurdles:

·        Adding particular enhancements and including adding REST endpoints to Salesforce instance.

·        Changing workflow for auto-generated Visual Force pages

·        HTML/JS work for customization of auto-generated pages

·        Working with/around SOQL limitations

·        Working with/around Java heap space limitations
