Health Insurance For Wife

Just now took the insurance till end of this year. I will change to any other better plan during the open enrollment period.

 

I registered here http://www.obamacareusa.org/get-quotes and got many calls and choose from one of them.

Singles ki insurance always low untadi, when you add a dependent (spouse) it will be more than double.....so either you can take insurance outside or add it to your's, it wont make much difference. Check how much it is costing in both the ways.

I took health insurance for my wife outside (obamacare (healthcare.gov anukunta). I couldn't add her to my existing insurance. There is a law which states that life changing event ayyaka you have 31 days to update your insurance. Life changing event means, marriage, birth of a child, divorce, death etc......nenu naa wife ni add chedam anesariki time aipoindhi....it was more than 31 days since I got married.......US ki arrive aina date nundi 31 days untundi anukunna...but its actually based on wedding date (they might ask marriage certificate....so dont lie in this case). So in your case, if you got married more than 31days, then i dont think you can add your wife in your current insurance (pls check with your HR / Employer again). 

So the only option left for you is taking insurance outside......obamacare is cheapest one........call customer service number mentioned in healthcare.gov and they will help you create an account and they will ask your wife's passport number + i94 number....once they validate those information....they will give you list of options that you can choose......nenu United Health, BCBS, Land of Lincoln, Aetna plans compare chesa.......within these plans...check which one suits you and your wife better. Elagu end of the yr kada...so pick anything for now.......and 2016 insurance ki maathram enroll her into your plan

na case lo ma hr late chesadu 31 days lopu add cheyyadam....aadini aadi paina unna hr manager ni 10githe 40 days tharavatha kuda add chesadu na insurance lo...

31 days bokka boshanam antaru kani every rule has exceptions...ne case lo marriage ayina ventane ne spouse ikkadiki ravalani ledu kada..becoz we have visa & other issues...so manam gattiga adigithe rules ni pakkana petti edaina chestharu....just saying :)

true....nenu kuda ade point meeda HR tho cheppinchanu......pelli ayyaka sometimes wife US ki ravadaaniki couple months or more pattochu.....alantappudu nenu insurance enduku theesukunta when she has not arrived to US..but vallu seethayya laaga evari maata vinaledhu.......anyway, 2016 enrollement start aindhi last week....and naa wife ni add chesanu
