Nandamuri family, mega family, Akkineni family, Daggubati family, Ghattamaneni family etc etc. One hero makes it big and the rest of his family lives off his name. This is quite a common feature and the bane of Tollywood.

And the latest entrant to this casteist disease is none other than Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas, son of producer Bellamkonda Suresh.

Having made his debut with ‘Alludu Seenu’ a movie which left his father deeply mired in debts, the young man is now coming out with his second project ‘Speedunnodu’, a remake of a Tamil hit.

One song in the movie highlights his surname of ‘Bellamkonda’. Instead of blaming the young man, we can perhaps take it as a reflection of the system in Tollywood, a system dictated by surnames. But is the surname Bellamkonda that influential to use it for just a second film?
