MbcMen
Cast: Nani, Mehrene Kaur Pirzada, Murli Sharma, Brahmaji, Sampath Direction: Hanu Raghavapudi Music: Vishal Chandrasekhar Cinematographer: Yuvaraj Banner: 14 Reels Producers: Ram Achanta, Gopichand Achanta, Anil Sunkara REVIEW BY PAPPU Well, Hanu Raghavapudi’s latest flick, Nani’s Krishna Gadi Veera Prema Gadha released and here’s it’s Story: Krishna (Nani) and Mahalaxmi (Mehrene) are lovers since childhood. The pair doesn’t want anyone in the village to know about their relation even as they grow up. Krishna being a milksop fears Mahalaxmi’s brother would kill him. Mahalaxmi belongs to powerful faction family in the village. She has a paternal uncle (Sampath) who is a fierce cop in the city. One fine day, Mahalaxmi insists that Krishna to meet her brother and open up about their relation since her parents are looking matches for her. Why does goons come to kidnap children? Are they just goons or do they have any bigger intention? To find out these answers go catch them movie in theaters Review Nani who is on high with super success of Bhale Bhale Magadivoy comes up with yet another romantic entertainer. The title of the film boasts that it is an adventurous epic love story. Let us find out how far it lived upto it. The story may quite simple but the way it was narrated is gripping. It has enough twists and turns to keep one glued to the seat. Screenplay has the pace and surprise elements at times. First half is smooth with comedy. It deals with secret romance of lead pair playing hide and seek with his brother. Director did not waste time in introducing characters, it was done in the process of narration itself and that’s good. Post interval story gets adventurous and racy. Road trip on a vintage car, chases by dreaded gunmen, forests and a tiger all these come into scene justifying the title in a way. However there are few weak links in the second half. Silly scenes like hero playing cat and mouse with goons could have been avoided. It is all about simple village boy who fears to disclose his love is entailed in a mission and how he takes on vicious criminals in the process. Performance The role is tailor made for Nani. He excels in both the angles. His performance as cowardice is hilarious at times. Mehrene suited the simple girl-next-door role. Though a debutant, she carried it well. Brahmaji, Prudhvi, Satyam Rajesh, Prabhas Srinu and Murali Joshi give a comic relief. Sampath Raj is apt as ACP. Technical Hanu Raghavapudi’s mettle has been proved with Andala Rakshasi itself. Though the film has failed, its essence has left a mark. The talented director seems to have take utmost care in this Nani starrer. His craving to deliver something new is visible throughout the film. Especially dialogues are well written and keeps us guessing at places. Director tried to add masala by showing Pawan Kalyan in a scene to raise whistles. Of course, Jai Balayya was rightly used whenever required. It might be an attempt to woo both star fans. Similarly cinematography is top-notch and it may also set a benchmark. Angles to visuals, everything is fresh and aesthetic. Beautiful locations selected add to the flavor of the film. Its apt to call it a visual treat. Yuvraj deserves a pat on his back. Vishal’s backgrounds score elevates the mood of the scenes. Songs are just okay though. Pros Nani Cinematography Screenplay Casting Cons Second half could have been better Unwanted scenes hinder the pace Climax could be better Source: TeluguOdu.com
