canada vallu single payer cheyaga lenidi, vomreeka lo kooda cheyagalaru. the data is there, and scaling cheyataniki they probably had numerous calculations. what the calculations don't show is how to simultaneously make money for existing system while providing single payer. ippudu obamacare provides new markets for insurance, middlemen etc. inflated costs vesi, system nunchi money drain chestaru vallu, so status quo continues

michael moore cinema choosinappudu he kind of said, canada lo kooda used to be the same, but 1 guy took the effort to change it. vomreeka lo way too heavy lobbying against any kind of consumer benefit

free education is implemented in most european countries and in cases like germany, even for non-citizens. the issue in us is same as with healthcare, they want to give money to a select few. doesn't matter if middle class screwed up, it gives the privilege of most number of billionaires in the world

canada single payer is administered by the states, through their taxes.

US lo medicare key vaachi pothondi.

the problem is not scalability. but consensus in the US. Some republican states are completely against it. Not so in Canada. Even the most right wing party in Canada is not against universal healthcare.

In yesterday's debate, he made a good point on free education.

When free education for all americans till Highschool, was implemented, u could get a decent job with highschool degree back then.

Now college degree is minimum for a lot of jobs. So yes it is needed to implement free college education like all EU countrues do

I think education has changed a lot. The type of jobs that are available are not the same type when high school was first made free way back.

Anyway, what's the percentage of public universities to private universities in the US?

I doubt its a big deal anyway.

exactly

people need to think, why the same medicine taht costs $10 in USA is only costing $1 in Canada.

this is ripoff

I'm laughing when people use Canada as a model for healthcare.

As someone who uses it, mainly for chronic treatment for my wife, I'd say Canada is not the ideal country to compare for health care with US.

We do crossover to the US many times to pay out of pocket. I bring medicines from India too sometimes.

It's also impossible to copy Canada's model without increasing state's stake in the game. Do you think states with republican governors will play ball?

UK's way of federally funding the entire program through state centers is the only way. It is against the federal nature of the US.

Then no body wants to work hard and become rich.... the very capitalistic flavour of US economy will loose its essence... eventually, it will loose its leadership in the world...

nobody cares about leaders. they can go fcuk themselves.

Vachipoyedi by design. It can be changed to a 1payer but they wont do it, becuz benefits to public are lower than industries to them. That group includes democrats also, they are little less shiatty, but no big difference. There's a reason y establishment dems are supporting hrc

without state's contribution, it will be more burden on federal govt.

Not just the young, but the more evolved among older people too.

only less evolved people still retain their spartan cry "To each their own", well into their adulthood.
