yeah but it is inclusive of the 85,000 in total. all the same, na


65,000 applications are for regular and 20,000 for advance degree...they should not be added as the application qualifications are different...

after all, there's some criteria for special quotas in every such system. in the above system you mention, it looks like having an advanced degree is the criteria.

So what I say is accept reservation system India too


No one should be opposed to reservation, we need to clearly define terms conditions and who are qualified to benefit out of it. People well of should not be given it. Need to clearly define what lower and back ward caste means. So many other things needs to b considerd.

Again, if the the 20,000 was inclusive then you may call them as "reserved" but since none of the 65,000 qualify or are eligible to apply for the advance degree quota...they are not considered reserved...hope this helps to clarify it further...

you are saying the same thing I am saying, but your conclusion is vastly different.

 

I think you may be confusing 'merit' with reservation.
