BENGALURU: Randstad, the second biggest global staffing company by sales, said it launched Randstad Technologies in India aimed at providing better service to the Global In-house Centers (GIC), IT services and product companies.

The technology, which operates like a virtual bench, provides a 'Just-In-Time' hiring which is fast catching up in the IT sector, the company said. Randstad Technologies will operate as a separate brand under the staffing business.

Just-In-Time recruiting is based on the lean, demand-based strategy of providing clients with required number candidates that match their needs at any point of time, without the safety net of a traditional candidate pipeline.

"The launch of Randstad Technologies heralds the beginning of our next phase of growth. We certainly are committed to step on our growth accelerators to maximize the opportunities in the market today and to identify the business models that have considerable headroom to scale and be profitable," Randstad India chief executive Moorthy Uppaluri said.

Most of the recruitment through this technology will take place in Randstad's flexi business (temporary staffing), where employees are on our payrolls but deployed with client, he explained.

Uppaluri added that the technology, which is popular in the US and Europe, will be adopted across various IT roles, levels and platforms, with a primary focus on the ERP, infrastructure, Application Development & Management and SMAC technologies.
