Harish B-Day Gift To KCR With 'Maamaku Prematho'!

 

While IT minister KTR gave GHMC Mayor seat as gift to his father KCR with 'Naannaku Prematho' recently, it was the turn of KCR's nephew and irrigation minister T Harish Rao, who gave Narayankhed Assembly seat as birthday gift to KCR on Tuesday with 'Maamaku Prematho'.

KCR's birthday is on February 17 and Harish gave big birthday gift to KCR a day in advance.

KCR handed over entire Narayankhed bypoll responsibility to his nephew Harish, like he did for his son KTR for GHMC elections.

Narayankhed seat was a challenging task for Harish Rao as it was considered to be the Congress fort for nearly five decades.

Moreover, it was the bypoll which was held following death of sitting Congress MLA Kista Reddy. The Congress gave ticket to Kista Reddy's son. With this, Harish had to overcome sympathy wave in favour of Congress.

Despite this, Harish single-handedly managed the entire election process and toured each and every village, which no other political leader had ever seen in over six decades.

Harish's 'development mantra' worked wonders for TRS. This was because despite Congress winning Narayankhed seat for five decades and being in power for four decades, it failed to develop the constituency. Narayankhed remains the most backward among all other constituencies in Medak district.

Harish visted each and every village and promised to develop; Narayankhed like Siddipet constituency in Medak, which he represents.

Harish successfully convinced voters to vote for TRS saying that if TRS wins, CM KCR who also represents Medak district will sanction more funds for developing Narayankhed on a fast track mode and if they vote for Congress and TRS, it would amount to throwing their votes in drainage.

The TRS candidate Bhupal Reddy won with a thumpting majority of over 53,000 votes, while Congress remained a distant second and TDP once again losing its deposit in Telangana.
