This very much resonated with me.....

People mainly in the intellectual space without knowing this subtle difference are attributing everything to the present day gov...

the "Establishment" In Indian political/academic discourse is undeniably anti-hindu/Leftist and in some extreme "corridors" even anti-India (people who are anarchists who have "Utopian/Romanticized" versions of a Nation or rather "no-Nation" find it wrong to term anyone anti-national but its their problem) ...

and what is happening across various levels (Universities other institutions) is a churning to make it RW or at least bring a balance...and it is healthy....

Hehe brother slowly but surely even your beloved TN will move towards RW....only a matter of time....

I have to admire the tenacity of BJP backers in supporting the obvious dumbfuckery of their favourite political party, and its larger ecosystem.

 

Every group/mob naturally tends to RW ideas, Tamils are no exception to this. 

 

But any man/woman who can think and act independently will avoid the ugliness of RW ideas. He/She's more likely to be curious of the world beyond their current realities.

 

You insist on selling the idea that RW is under constant attack in India in the academia, which is definitely true, but for entirely different reasons.

 

It's not because the left is more powerful. It is because left is equally clueless and incompetent. I doubt RW will ever win the battle for ideas though, unless there's a strong violent nationalistic component to the ideological movement.

 

The component that will put decent, intelligent people off the movement, unless its wartime.

The 'balance' you speak of is not healthy at all.  It's healthy only if the left academia inspires the RW to match their ingenuity.

 

but the left survives on borrowed terminology from the west, and the RW is constantly trying to come up with Indianized versions of western conservatism - but by only borrowing from the worst parts of it.

This is the problem the RW faces....people try to put them into defense by talking "intellectual BS" and trying to show how RW ideas or methods are clueless/violent/dangerous .....hehe...RW should become more insulated to such BS ....and continue down this path....

 

Dont try to put the left's methods followed in Indian discourse on a pedestal that RW can't match....what the left has been doing is sheer power brokering and doing the bidding of their foreign masters.....and it is not at all difficult for RW to nurture an in house ecosystem that can take over the narrative.....

 

RW should see thru the smugness of "intellectuals" who refuse to identify with the "Crude" ideology and try to "shame" them....

all it needs is another Modi term....which will definitely happen in 2019.... :)

I have no hope that Indian RW will improve their arguments, and subsequently their constituents.

 

When its leading lights like Swapan, Shourie, constantly make outrageously insensitive statements, not even backed by an overarching thought process or without deference to statistics, it is hard to take the entire 'movement' seriously.

 

Atleast the left backed magazines have come up with scientific studies to justify some of their policy proposals.

 

The right wingers are busy tending to the wounded Hindu pride, justifying love Jihad, arrest of kanhaiyya, pouring scorn on Rohit Vemula.
