I am planning on a week trip to Los angeles / Sandiego.... Koncham suggest cheyyara places like, best beaches for family, best things to do in and around  ( Wife & Kid 6 month old ) and places to stay.

San diego beaches nice. west coast lo even summer lo ayina water cold ga untundi, so be prepared. 5 minutes lo adjust ayipotavu

 

beaches in San diego: Delmar, Carlsbad, Oceanside. You can goto Coronado island if interested, there are nice beaches there too.

 

LA beaches: Manhattan beach/Hermosa. Don't go to venice beach with family

 

Orange county: Huntington, Newport beaches. laguna is hit/miss

 

 

Places to see:

 

San diego:  beaches, la jolla cove, san diego zoo,

safari park (20 miles away from zoo, if you have to pick 1, pick safari).

balboa park, downtown gas lamp district

mission bay, sea world, lego land

mexico border? (don't go near the revolving turnstile 4 immigration purposes)

 

LA:

Hollywood, Beverly hills

Must do the drive from Beverly hills to Studio city using Coldwater canyon/laurel canyon roads

Getty museum, getty park, sunset boulevard

Catalina is too far. ferry lo vellali @ 30+ usd per person. LA lo 20 years unna vallu kooda catalina choodaru. also, it's really small. save your money and go cape cod and Martha's vineyard

 

current CA drought valla major impact in catalina. akkadaki no water pipes, so only natural water tho batakali junta, baga ibbandi ga undi ani telusu.

Venice beach lo ganjayi batch untaru. family ki ibbandi ga undochu. manhattan/Hermosa lo you have strand walkway next to posh houses. venice beach lo ghetto walkway

Malibu pakkana Zima beach ade anukunta nuvvu cheppedi. manam mamuluga tiragali ante, it's not so great, sand is too coarse

if in LA , Hermosa better. Hermosa kante konchem cheap lo kavali ante Redondo

 

managed hotels ante San diego la jolla cove daggara or mission bay. la jolla cove is next to water, but not a beach. sea world is close to mission bay. san diego hotel zone kooda sea world daggare

 

 

Personal opinion, Hollywood waste, total ghetto janala area. but first time veltunnvu kabatti you want to see. Hollywood daggara cheap hotels annee super crappy, get a good place near west LA/Santa Monica and drive to Hollywood. It'll be 15 miles extra, but you'll be safe from bed bugs etc
