Fortunes have changed for producer Bellamkonda Suresh in just two years. Till 2014, he was calling the shots in the movie industry despite controversies surrounding him.

Producing movies with huge budgets, grabbing rights of small movies and releasing them in big way, he had great time till he produced “Jabardasth” in 2013. 

Before “Jabardasth”, he enjoyed mostly successes except some marginal losses with one or two movies.

As the going was great, he took a gambling and announced three movies at one time. He brought three movies Jabardasth (2013), Rabhasa (2014) and Alludu Sreenu (2014) on the sets at same time and had faced severe financial issues.

For both NTR’s “Rabhasa” and “Alludu Seenu”, he had loaned huge amounts of money for high interest rate. “Rabhasa” got delayed during the shoot for many reasons that include the director falling sick. After the release the movie bombed miserably. 

Though his son’s debut film “Alludu Seenu” was a decent hit, he spent more than the market value of director V V Vinayak and lost money heavily. After that he struggled to pay up the interests for the finance he brought in for these movies and lost some of his properties in the recent times. 

Although he recently built a palatial house in Manikonda in Hyderabad worth many crores of rupees, he reportedly has no liquidity. So he ended up becoming defaulter of Kotak Mahindra Bank. The bank officials today seized the office he has in Film Nagar in Hyderabad. 

He hoped that his son’s second film “Speedunnodu” would become huge hit but the film also turned out to be damp squib. All these have added to his misery.
