i am remembered of some old discussion by you on islam...u once said the more and more people criticize and insult islamic teachings more people will come out of it and question it.......

not exactly similar .........but in here when people like rohit kanhaiya or any other 's who just willfully inorder to counter the right wing just pass offensive statements against the 'nation' and its existence more people will tend to support the nationalists and oppose these leftits.....atleast thats what i've been seeing last few months.......most of them are fedup of this leftits drama.....

In a complex society, opposite of hypocrisy is not sincerity. So Kanhayya's, and other's, hypocrisy is probably helpful in questioning the current rulers.

 

What I see BJP doing is clueless bullshitting to counter Kanhayya's hypocrisy.

as much as the muslims may pretend, there's nothing 'complex' about Islam. It's a set of rules handed down to people more than 1000yrs ago. A few changes made here and there, but mostly has been rigid.

 

So it can (and should) be easily criticized, without sounding hypocritical. 

 

But criticizing the idea of a nation is not a simple endeavor. When a citizen who cannot delink himself from a nation criticizes it, it becomes hard to not sound hypocritical.

 

When someone like me criticizes India, it becomes comical, because I don't have any stake, except that I care for people who live there (not so much, really).

 

So who do you think should criticize India?

 

So its better to focus on the crux of what he's saying, than to be offended.
