Tamil Vs Malayalam Movies.

After taking tentkotta subscription to catch up with tamil flicks I missed over the past few years, this is my observation.

 

Tamil movies are going the malayalam way more, which is really bad news.

 

It seems Tamil movies are now made for 8-13yr olds. There have been glorious exceptions to the general rule the past few years, but mostly they are going the malayalam way.

 

What is the malayalam way?

 

Pick a story, beat it to death with social messages. and then beat it again. Never mind how regressive these social messages are. and how smug people sound when they say it.

 

Have a couple of silly twists that'll make some idiot in the north, tamil, or telugu industries to buy rights for remake. Great business plan.

 

malayalam movies should be banned in India.

1. yaagavarayinum naagaakka (Malupu) - Worstest movie

2. Appuchi gramam - boring

3. Yaamirukka Bhayam yen - Gorgeous heroine apart, very kiddish.

4. Thamizhukku en Ondrai Azhutthavum - tries to be too cool. Got me irritated.
