ee primary system, multifurcated. I don't want to go into the details either. open primaries lo dems can vote for repubs and vice versa, so hard to get actual numbers anyway

I know the system. Its helpful to know how many people think of voting for Trump, if they don't like the choice on the other side.

Its not that hard, right. Every primary is publishing the number of voters. caucuses may be hard to get numbers of. but they are less in number.

I'm more interested to see how much interest Trump has generated. How many more people are voting in the republican primaries compared to last two times.

I think democratic interest spike can't be measured like this, because Obama was a special candidate and many people did turn up to vote for him. or may be I'm wrong.

Interest aithe, sure ga generate chesadu. one thing working in his favor is most people hate ted cruz way worse than him. inka jeb and rubio who were preferred establishment members didn't have a chance. don't think trump got any new voters support, but seemingly, ted cruz is the magic word which makes people vote for him

oka chinna glance vesa. Democratic turnout was much much higher.

except in some southern states, everywhere else both Sanders, and clinton had gotten more votes than any republican candidate.

so may be there's not that much backlash against 'the system'. I hope so.

or may be some naughty republicans are voting in Dem primaries, to give the Dems a false sense of security during the general election.

Through the first 12 primaries of 2016, combined Republican turnout has been 17.3% of eligible voters – the highest of any year since at least 1980. Democratic turnout so far is 11.7% – the highest since 1992, with the notable exception of the extraordinarily high turnout in 2008.

checks out. with population increase, more citizens and social media awareness has more people voting
