Is Hinduism Given A Free Pass In The Western World?

Given how horrible the entire culture is. It has formalised casteism, treated a section of society as less than human, has several unstructured diety worships that violate human/animal rights, and still is romanticised in the West.

Being a Hindu is not looked down upon in the West, which is sad. I wish and I will hope I can convince more non-hindus to look down upon Hinduism.

Let me tell you why. Hindus have become too lethargic, and are spouting nonsense, when it comes to supporting their religion.

I just read something a friend sent me.

http://www.salon.com/2016/03/07/my_secret_debate_with_sam_harris_a_revealing_4_hour_dialogue_on_islam_racism_free_speech_hypocrisy/

this is written by a muslim (mostly agnostic), who describes what transpired when he wrote a critical piece on a book by Sam Harris, which was basically anti-Islam.

He doesn't go into details of Harris's specific criticism, but absolutely love the way he shows up the hypcrisy of the self proclaimed rationalist Harris.

I cannot imagine a single pro-Hindu guy writing such an awesome piece, if a western guy now attacked Hinduism.

Most pro-Hindu writers sound like crybabies, compared to battle tested muslim writer.

this is why it is better if Hinduism is also criticized in the west virulently. So better pro-Hindus rise up among us.

There's so much to learn from Islam, and Muslims, if Hindus stop obsessing about money making.

Forget hinduism man tell us about some salafist teachings you know

I know neither Hinduism, nor Islam. I disrespect both, based on how I see they are practised. Its not my job to defend them, as much as its for guys like you.

Like always, you live in your own world and come up with irrelevant questions.

Yes, Hinduism in general gets a free pass in Western world

but when a temple needs to be constructed, the local community is forecfully overtaken/ purchased by desi's so that city council is influenced into voting for it

example, Bay area temples, almost all of the temples at various stages faced difficulties getting started , then influential desi's had to pitchin buy local properties and then influence city councils to approve temple constructions

classic arm twisting, remont sai baba temple ki vellinappudu oka NRI doctor garvanga cheppukunnadu ilaa chesaam memu ani

its pointless for me to learn about any religion.

I wasn't looking for answers. the title was slightly misleading.

I just made a statement that muslims articulate their position on religion better than Hindus do. and that this is because muslims constantly upgrade their arguments based on attacks on their religion.

now tell me, how relevant was your question?
