Telangana government and Maharashtra recently signed an agreement over the disputed projects. TRS government is showcasing that as a huge achievement of the CM KCR. We have seen a huge rally welcoming KCR after the agreement and several hoardings are put up in the city claiming KCR to be Bhagiradha of Telangana.

But Maharashtra government refuted those claims. Maharashtra Water Resources Minister Girish Mahajan announced that there is no agreement with Telangana over the projects. But they have set up an inter-state committee to look in to the disputes arising between both the state over the proposed projects.

He categorically stated that Maharashtra will only enter in to agreement only after Telangana government gives written assurance over all the objections of them. He also insisted Telangana to enter in to agreement first with AP before coming to them. He also said that Medigadda Project is also not okayed by them, this comes at the time when Telangana government is gearing up to lay the foundation stone.
