Bhayya just bought 3 AC's today...after lot of research and going around stores and comparing models and service quality I have landed on conclusion buying LG mainly because of after service network and 5 years of warranty on both condenser & Compressor.

Another company is Panasonic but has a lesser after sales service, but due to its copper compressor and Japanese condenser it never becomes fault but if it does u have to shell out quite an amount for replacement.

LG model - 1.5T 3* LSA 5NP regular model not with mosquito repellent.

Panasonic - 1.5T 3* yc18rky3

Prices enta vunnayi.

Go with a manufacturer that makes A.Cs and not one which also makes A.Cs

LG,Samsung,Hitachi,Panasonic, etc have only brand value ..they also make A.Cs..mostly outsource manufacturing to other companies and put their sticker on them

-Choose a AC which works and suited for Peak Indian Ambient conditions (48 deg Cent.) .Most Japanese/Asian brands are designed for 38 to 40 deg centigrade as these countries never reach temp more than 35 deg

-If the AC is designed for 38/42 deg ambient temp..it will shut off if out side temperature is higher than the design temp-NOT useful for Indian peak summer temps

-Invertor Technology is a type compressor technology and does not mean that it works as back up power to AC  when power goes (again ,avoid this cos not suited for Indian Conditions.Go with scroll compressor)

-Chose a brand which as dedicated service centers maintained by company directly .If you buy a AC  in a showroom, they will not attend to repairs or warranty..instead they will direct you to a call company's customer service

-Buy AC directly from sales and service dealer and not from a fancy showroom that sells TVs.Fridges, washing machines and ALSO ACs

-Blue Star,Carrier,Voltas etc are some of the brands who make ONLY A.Cs
