This is our 1500 years old Swayambhu Veereswara Swamy temple at Pattiseema, which is situated in the bed of the river Godavari near Rajahmundry. This temple is considered as Dakshin Kasi and Pattiseema as Kailasam or Vaikuntham.
This is also one of the Panchakshertras (the other four being Kedarnath, Kasi, Kalahasti and Srisailam)

The main festival is Mahashivratri, which happens in Magh masam. On this day approximately 100,000 people visit the temple. The other important festival is Kalyanam of Lord Shiva on Bheema Ekadasi and Kartic masam (month).

In the year 1825-1826 Shri Rajah Kotcherlakotaraja Jaggaiah of Polawarm donated approximately 1900 acres of land for the upkeep of this ancient temple.
Presently, Mr K.R.V.K Krishna Rao is the hereditary founder family member(Chairman)
It is approx 8 hrs drive from Hyderabad and 4 hrs drive from Vishakapatnam.
