so mee edupu lo morality vethukuthunnav.

it doesn't matter that reservation is not even properly implemented, or that dalits face discrimination just for availing what is available to them, even if they are, as you say, daughters of rich bureaucrats.

merit is a useless term in a country where students from the upper caste have tremendous advantage in standardized tests.

Its okay if a guy enrolled in Narayana fails to get into IIT because of reservation. Ideally it should discourage more and more upper caste parents from sending their kids to such education factories. But they prefer to blame dalits for their misfortune. Its easy no.

I'll bet this 'fee waiver' is just eyewash.

It'll come with conditions attached to it. Like

1. Don't organize political groups inside campus, but that condition won't apply for upper caste students who are free to organize sanskrit society, vedanta society, vivekananda group, etc. Everything is fine, except Ambedkar group.

2. Keep your heads down, and don't question your lecturers, but its fine if lecturers openly call you out for your caste and abuse you in front of your fellow students as being from lower caste.

3. No organizing beef festivals to piss off upper caste students, but upper caste students are free to call idiots like Subramaniam Swamy to the campus and give him a platform to spew hatred on others.

First promise to give dalits freedom. Real freedom.

that is including freedom to make mistakes and learn from it.

Not pounce on them, and throw them in jails, and try to destroy their career for the slightest lapse.

And also lying about their activities, suspending them, etc.

Try and act like humans. Fee waivers will automatically come.

show me a govt policy that says sc/st family that sends their children to primary school or secondary school will get 5000 or whatever that will make sure they get educated, no govt does that because that beneficiary is a minor and he doesnt have a voting right is first thing secondary that particular school is govt owned. either way policy valla votes raavu or govt lo unna party ki funds raavu. in place of that if my govt says engineering college lo sc/st ki fee govt bear chesthundhi madhi pedhala prabuthvam ani cheppukovachu
