Your Challenge:

As a Software Engineer, you will be challenged to drive innovation into our systems for controlling architectural LED lighting installations. The controller applications are computationally intensive and require knowledge of C++, Linux, algorithms, and networking.

 

Your Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of this position is the design and development of controller software used to produce LED lighting effects and shows.  The successful candidate will have strong C++ and Linux development experience.  The ideal candidate will also have experience with Qt, scripting languages, messaging systems, and high-availability systems.

 

In this position the candidate will contribute to all aspects of the development cycle, from design through implementation to test and deployment. The development process follows the Agile Scrum framework and utilizes software tools intended to maximize efficiency and communication within the team.

The Software Engineering team develops applications for configuring, controlling, and monitoring the entire range of Philips Color Kinetics LED luminaires, controllers, and power supplies.  We follow the Agile Scrum framework in our development process.  The environment within the team encourages researching and adopting leading-edge technologies and methodologies.
