troubleshooting is by looking at the the overall execution of the job for that run via integration services catalog and see where it failed and why man and take necessary actions. there is not always the same issue right but you will identify the issue by this way.

Performance tuning is a whole big subject involves buffers, cache mechanism, parallelism, distribution of rows, queries, index statistics and so on man...
