• 5+ years of .NET development experience
• Developing web applications using Microsoft .Net and open source technologies.
• Creating and enhancing product features in MVC 4 and WebAPI 2 with C#, as well as some ASP.Net Webforms using VB.Net
• Working directly with Product Managers, Developers and Quality Assurance to deliver new products and features.
• Modifying existing applications and features to improve performance, code readability etc.
• Communicating your ideas across a team of 30 developers

Skills you have include:

• Fluency in one or more objected oriented languages
• Experience working with a relational database platform like SQL Server or Oracle, both using stored procedures and an ORM like Entity Framework or NHibernate
• Building web applications using an MVC framework
• Writing automated tests using NUnit, JUnit or an equivalent

Ideally, you also:

• RESTful API. 
• Experience with Microsoft WebAPI is a plus.
• Understand and can recognize design patterns
• Worked with at least one NoSQL platform
• Implemented responsive design techniques for mobile-friendly applications
• Client-side experience in one or more JavaScript frameworks
• CSS framework like Bootstrap or Foundation
• Write code that’s safe to deploy in a Continuous Integration environment

uShip - Full time

.NET Dev/Arch (E-Commerce & Fraud Prevention)

Salary: $135,000 per year (client is flexible)

 

• Designing and implementing features of the uShip E-Commerce, Pricing and Trust & Safety platforms using Microsoft .Net and open source technologies.
• Collaborating with other Payments Team developers to deliver individual features and larger strategic initiatives.
• Working with Stakeholders, Development, Product and Quality Assurance to define user stories, identify acceptance criteria and test cases.
• Creating REST API endpoints in MVC 4 and WebAPI 2 with C# to be consumed internally and externally.
• Helping to develop best practices around performance, code quality and readability via pair programming, code reviews and collaboration with technical leadership
• Operating with a “test-first” approach to write behavioral unit and integration tests.
• Documenting application features and API endpoints

 

Skills you have include:

• Fluency in C# and .NET 4+
• Knowledge of relational database platforms like SQL Server or Oracle, both using stored procedures and an ORM like Entity Framework or NHibernate
• Writing automated tests using NUnit or an equivalent
• First-hand experience integrating with external payment APIs and processors such as MES and PayPal
• Knowledge and experience working with fraud prevention & monitoring systems like ThreatMetrix.
• Multiple years working on building, maintaining and improving E-Commerce systems Understanding of PCI Compliance and security practices for handling payment methods. Familiarity with ACH and electronic transfers.
• An understanding of payments systems supporting multiple currencies
• Using distributed version control, preferably Git or Mercurial
• The ability to understand and recognize design patterns
• The ability to communicate cross-functionally among other departments
• The ability to write code that is safe for Continuous Integration
• (Note: Candidates without E-Commerce and Fraud Prevention experience WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.)

 

Ideally, you also:

• Have built web applications using an MVC framework
• Have built or worked on a RESTful API. Experience with Microsoft WebAPI is a plus.
• Have worked with at least one NoSQL platform
• Have client-side experience in one or more JavaScript frameworks
• Have worked in a Continuous Deployment environment
• Are familiar with international payment processing
