loss of income while you are doing the course? important issue kadha.

Yeah that's there too man. That's why I am just seeking opinions on how practical it is to do this, based on that I will decide. I just need to get out of IT though.

about half of students in my masters class were close to 40. Some of them went on to complete PhD @45. And ofcourse couple were as young as 19. This was more than 10yrs ago.

It may be hard to get into a good program, unless you show them that you have the tenacity to go the whole way. Many of them drop out midway.

So your questions are better asked in another forum.

naku telsinavallu unnaru like 30 years ke residency finish chesi , fellowship chestunollu

Get into some business man. Make enough money and then start a research institute. IRS is dumb enough to give tax exemption to such institutes, if you ask hard.

Then do research in your own time. Why wait for some random body to confer a title on you?

I have so many family members as doctors in US

They have all done MBBS in india and MD here

They make good money

One Internal medicine cousin works in rural community and lives in urban , makes half million dollars a year with 6 week vacation And he only works 22 days a month and 8 days are his day off

You can earn the money lost as S/w engg ,

But is S/w is smart and has invested in assets and or start up , you can't catch up as doctor

For eg I have invested in property in india and my doctor cousin will take at least 3 to 4 years to earn that much

So think wisely

Aa reason ki kaadu le bro although what you said is true. Naaku independent ga undalani like own practice etc. Not depend on some manager's mercy etc like an IT coolie job.

Set up your own business if that's the case

Law interest unda? Lawyer avvalantey 3 years school + pass the bar exam in the state you want to practice. Independent lawyer ga work chesukovacchu. Or you can look into being an accountant. Also MBA is another option, but try to do it in top 20 only else not worth it.
